New Bible Studies this fall!

MEN'S BIBLE STUDY:  6:30-7:00 AM, Tuesday Mornings, at the Yellow Dog.  Beginning September 9th, the men of Trinity are invited to meet for coffee, breakfast, and Bible Study with Pastor Curtis at the Yellow Dog Saloon at 6:30 am.  We'll cover a range of topics and questions are are always welcome.  Come and start your work day with the Word of God!

SING A NEW SONG: A Bible Study Group for Women, Begins Monday, September 8th, 9:30 am, Concordia Publishing House has begun a new series of Bible Study/devotional materials called New Song.  The studies and books are based on the Psalms and have multiple authors.  One of those authors is Rebekah Curtis - and she'll be facilitating a study of the New Song materials (including Bible studies, interactive DVD presentations, etc.) beginning Monday, September 8th.  The group will meet in the parsonage on Mondays at 9:30 am.  Please sign up on the bulletin board so Rebekah knows how many to expect - and invite your friends from the community as well.  For moms with children: babysitting is provided.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?  A Course in the Christian Faith, Wednesdays 7:00-8:00 PM, In the Church.  Each Wednesday (beginning September 10th) after Divine Service, Pastor Curtis leads a class in the fundamentals of the Christian faith.  This is a class for all ages....for those just exploring the Lutheran faith and for those who were confirmed decades ago.  There is no better way to deepen your faith than by reconnecting to the Word of God.  Join us on Wednesday evenings to do just that!

Nursery Available During Sunday School

A nursery for children too young for Sunday School will be available in the pre-school room.  So now it's even easier to come to Sunday School and Bible Class.

The Scrip Program

The scrip program at Trinity St. Paul Lutheran School is still continuing.  If you need any certificate's, please see Cindy Steinmeyer after church, contact her at home or beginning this week just stop by the Trinity Center.

Time Set Aside For Private Absolution

For those desiring private Confession and Absolution, Pastor Curtis is always available by appointment at anytime.  In addition, he will specifically set as aside time before Wednesday night services (5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.) for private absolution in the church sanctuary for those who might desire it.

Trinity Lutheran Youth Group

Trinity's Youth Group is up and running again.  We'll meet once a month on a Sunday evening for Bible Study, fellowship, and fun.  We'll also be making plans for next summer's Higher Things youth retreat in Minneapolis.  So spread the word to all our youth of confirmation age through high school.  Meetings are on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at the Parish Hall.

Vacation? Traveling? Remember

Wednesday night church at 6:30 p.m.

A Divine Service is now held year around.  This service is not only provided for those who may have to miss Sunday services, but is also meant to be an additional time to hear the Word of God and receive his Sacrament for those who may desire it.  Thus, the services on Wednesday will differ from the Sunday services in their readings and sermons.

Evangelism DVD  

Donations have been received to purchase the master copy of Vox Visuals'  10-minute DVD tract called The Lutheran Faith: A Mighty Fortress.  Pastor Curtis would like to have enough copies of these to give to all of our visitors and people who move into the area.  The cost of reproducing the DVD's is about $2/copy.  If you are interested in helping please, contact Pastor.

The Da Vinci Code

Truth Revealed is an excellent study prepared by Pr. Jonathan Conner of Sanborn, IA. Pr. Conner refutes the erroneous claims of Dan Brown's book with a careful and honest look at Scripture and history. The study includes artwork mentioned in the book and is a good thing to share with folks who have read the book and have questions.  Click on the following link to open the Truth Revealed
